Inspiriert durch einen Beitrag von Marcus auf fried-phoenix.de, wollte ich nun zwar keinen Liebesbrief, aber ein kleines Feature für das Free2Play Spiel Warframe veröffentlichen. Denn in Deutschland scheint der Titel wenig Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen.
Ninjas im Weltall, was will man mehr? Eigentlich nichts, oder? So oder so ähnlich präsentiere ich anderen Warframe. Denn darum geht es im Kern. Man spielt einen sogenannten Tenno, ein Nachkomme der Orokin die vor langer Zeit, in einem Krieg mit Maschinenwesen, die namensgebenden Warframes erschaffen haben um den Krieg doch noch zu gewinnen. Zu Beginn werden wir jedoch ohne Erklärungen in diese Welt geworfen und müssen uns für einen von 4 Einstiegs Warframes entscheiden. Hinzu kommen jeweils eine Nahkampf-, eine Sekundär- und eine Primärwaffe.
Dann werden wir in eine Spielwelt entlassen die sich über die Jahre immer weiterentwickelt hat. Digital Extremes, der Entwickler, hat nicht nur unter großem Risiko eines der besten Free2Play Titel erschaffen. Sondern eine Welt mit Tiefgreifender Lore, guten Storyquests und einer motivierenden Lernkurve erschaffen, die seines gleichen sucht. Besonders die Handlung des Second Dream Updates gefällt mir sehr. (Aus Spoilergründen verrate ich aber an dieser Stelle rein Garnichts.) Auch die 3 Gegnerklassen Grineer, Befallene und Corpus sind so tiefgreifend unterschiedlich, sowohl optisch als auch Gameplay technisch, dass man nie auf alle gleich gut vorbereitet ist.
Spielmechanik
Warframe lebt vor allem durch das grinden von Materialien für neue Warframes, Waffen und etc. Denn nur mit neuer Ausrüstung steigt man im Meisterschaftsrang (Accountlevel) auf und hat die Möglichkeit stärkere Ausrüstung zu erhalten. Dabei schafft es Digital Extremes den schmalen Grad, zwischen der Befriedigung des Erhaltens und der Herausforderung des Bekommens, zu wandern, dass es Spaß macht weiter zu spielen. Denn auch wenn man eine Mission das 4. Mal bewältigt ändert sich die Umgebung dank prozedural generierten Umgebungen immer wieder. Mit der Masse an Warframes und Ausrüstung hat man als Spieler sehr lange etwas zu tun und findet für sich selbst und jede Gelegenheit immer die passende Kombination. Spätestens mit den Prime Varianten, dies sind stärkere Varianten der Warframes, kennt die Sammelwut kaum ein Ende.
Durch diese Mechanik und der Hilfe die die Community jedem neuen Spieler willig anbietet kommt fast nie Frust auf, es sei denn nach dem 10. Lauf bekommt wieder nur Bauteile für Oberon.

Community
Ach ja die Community von Warframe, man kann sie fast als das Auenland der Gamingcommunity nennen. Nirgendwo sonst habe ich einen so respektvollen Umgang mit anderen Spielern und Neulingen erlebt. Bei Fragen oder auch bei Missionen ist fast immer jemand dabei der sich die Zeit nimmt Dinge zu erklären oder jemanden in den Clan aufzunehmen um ihm zu helfen. Auch im Handel wird man nicht über den Tisch gezogen selbst dann, wenn man die Preise überhaupt nicht kennt.
Handel
Wie schon oben erwähnt gibt es auch den Handel zwischen Spielern. Hier handeln Spieler untereinander entweder Mods für Warframes und Waffen oder auch Bauteile und Blaupausen für eben jene Warframes und Mods zu erhalten.
Dabei wird nicht nur mit Credits oder anderen Materialien gehandelt, sondern auch mit Platin. Dadurch kann wirklich jeder Spieler sich auch Dinge kaufen die nicht mit Ingame-Credits gekauft werden können.
Des Weiteren kommt alle 2 Wochen auch ein Händler der besondere Items anbietet, die sonst nirgendwo verfügbar sind. Um bei diesem Händler einkaufen zu können muss der Spieler die Prime Bauteile oder Blaupausen eintauschen. Durch diese Methode stellt Digital Extremes sicher, dass die Ökonomie nicht durch ein Überangebot an Prime Items kollabiert.
Appell
Ganz ehrlich? Spielt Warframe, es ist nicht nur ein Faires Free-to-Play Spiel, sondern auch ein verdammt gutes. Ich habe selten so viel Spaß gehabt. Die Waffen und Warframes sind in der richtigen Kombination immer gut ausbalanciert. Man kann problemlos mehrere tausend Stunden dort hinein investieren.
