Assassin’s Creed – Eine verblassende Spielereihe?
Bevor ihr diesen Artikel lest, eine Warnung: „Dieser Artikel kann Spoiler enthalten, solltet ihr also noch nicht alle Teile gespielt haben, geht mit Vorsicht dran!“
Es ist nun fast 11 Jahre her, dass der erste Teil der Spielereihe veröffentlicht wurde. Mit diesem Titel wurde der erste Stein für eine lange und teils leidende Geschichte gelegt. Blicken wir einmal zurück, wie alles angefangen hat…
Der erste Teil
Im ersten Teil der Reihe, bekam man die ersten Einblicke in die Welt der Assassin und lernte ihre Vorgehensweisen und Kredos kennen. Dies geschah durch ein Gerät mit dem Namen „Animus“ der es einem ermöglicht in die Geschichte seiner Vorfahren zu gelangen und diese noch einmal zu durchleben. Als Desmond Miles wird man entführt und an diese Maschine angeschlossen und durchlebt die Geschichte seines Vorfahren Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad. Die Templer, diese sind die Erzfeinde der Assassin, wollen so an eine mächtige Waffe kommen.
Die Geschichte von Ezio
Die vermutlich meistgeliebten Teile, waren die teile zwei bis vier. (AC 2, AC Brotherhood und AC Revelations). In diesen Teilen versucht man wieder in der Geschichte eines Vorfahrens eine übermächtige Waffe zu finden, bevor die Templer sie finden. Durch die Hilfe Lucy schafft man es zu fliehen und unterstütz fortan die Assassin. Der Vorfahre namens Ezio Auditore da Firenze lebt in Italien. Durch die enge Bindung zu Ezio durch die drei Teile, ist er einer der meistgeliebten Charaktere aus dieser Reihe. Nur der letzte Teil mit ihm war in der Kritik etwas schlechter als die anderen.
Die Probleme der Serie fingen an
Nach dem der letzte Teil mit Ezio negative Kritiken einfuhr, verbesserte sich die Situation nicht, sie verschlechterte sich sogar. Mit dem dritten Teil (AC 3) der nun in Amerika, vor der Unabhängigkeit, spielt gab es einen neuen Charakter. Durch eine nicht sehr überragende Geschichte und einigen Problemen war es einer der weniger guten Teile der Serie.
Mit Black Flag ging man nun einen komplett neuen Weg, mit dem man versuchte das angekratzte Image wieder zu verbessern, jedoch war dies nur schwer möglich. Man spielt nun im Zeitalter der Piraten, meiner Meinung nach eine sehr spanendes Zeitalter, doch die Umsetzung der Wasserschlachten wurde für Viele nicht gut genug umgesetzt. Somit konnte der Teil auch nicht strahlen.
2014 ging dann die Welt unter. Im Umbruch der Konsolengeneration entschied man sich zwei Teile (AC Rogue [old gen] und AC Unity [next gen] ) zu veröffentlichen. Somit erschien ein Teil für die „alte Konsole“ und einer für die „neue Konsole“. Doch dies lief alles andere als gut. Durch eine extreme Anzahl und Bugs war es teilweise nicht möglich das Game zu spielen. Das kratzte nun stark an dem Image der Reihe.
Auch mit dem Teil darauf (AC Syndicate) konnte man das Image nachhaltig nicht verbessern. Auch wenn man nun die Möglichkeit hatte eine Frau zu spielen, was sich von einigen Fans gewünscht wurde, kam das Game nicht so gut an wie man gehofft hatte. Die Story war teils fad und in die Länge gezogen.
Nach der Pause
Mit dem letzten Teil änderte man das Game (AC Origins) grundlegend. Durch die Änderung des Kampfsystems hob man die Herausforderung, durch schwierigere Kämpfe, stark an und auch durch ein Levelsystem machte man es schwieriger durch das Game zu rushen.
Es bleibt nun abzuwarten was uns mit dem nächsten Titel erwartet (ACOdyssey), auch hier wird es wieder möglich sein eine Frau zu spielen. Mit dem antiken Griechenland hat man auf jeden Fall kein schlechtes Setting gewählt. Wie die Story und die Steuerung sein wird, bleibt abzuwarten.
Ich hoffe das es wieder die Möglichkeit geben wird, das Game auf der Gamescom dieses Jahr zu testen um sich einen ersten Eindruck bilden zu können. Vor Allem bleibt abzuwarten wie das Game bei der Masse ankommt, beim letzten Teil sah es ja nicht schlecht aus und das Feedback war auch besser.
