Mit Quantico schwappt erneut eine US-Thriller Serie rund um eine FBI-Agentin aus den USA nach Deutschland herüber. Die erste Staffel wird ab dem 27. Juli auf ProSieben ausgestrahlt und parallel auf Maxdome verfügbar sein. Ich hatte dank eines Gewinnspiels von Maxdome schon vorab die Möglichkeit mir die ersten beiden Folgen anzuschauen und mir ein erstes Bild von der Serie sowie der deutschen Synchronisation zu machen.
Vorweg Quantico ist eine Serial-Serie, also eine Serie mit Vorlaufendem Plot, läuft dabei aber in zwei Zeitlinien. In der 1. Zeitlinie geht es um eine Klasse von FBI Trainees die ihre Ausbildung an der titelgebenden FBI Akademie in Quantico absolvieren. In der 2. Zeitlinie geht es um die FBI-Agentin Alex Perrish gespielt von Priyanka Chopra, die versucht ihren Namen reinzuwaschen nachdem man ihr einen Anschlag auf die Grand-Central-Station in New York in die Schuhe geschoben wurde.
Alex Perrish wird aufgrund gefälschter Indizien und aufgrund eines anonymen Tipps verdächtigt. Dieser behauptet, dass der Terrorist der die Bombe gelegt hat Teil der Ausbildungsklasse von Quantico gehörte in der auch Alex gewesen ist. Durch die Rückblenden in die 1. Zeitlinie lernt man als Zuschauer nicht nur die ehemaligen Klassenkameraden von Alex kennen, sondern erfährt auch mit der Zeit einiges über die Vergangenheit der Menschen sowie deren Beweggründe sich für das FBI zu melden. Dabei bedient sich Quantico einem weiten Spektrum an Charakteren ohne sie auf Klischees herunter zu brechen.
Ein sehr gutes Beispiel ist hier die FBI-Trainee Shelby Wyatt, gespielt von Johanna Braddy, eine junge Frau die ihre Eltern bei den Anschlägen am 11. September 2001 verloren hat. Shelby kommt dabei, anders als ich es persönlich erwartet hätte, nie hochnäsig oder oberflächlich daher, sondern wirkt wie eine Person die viel durchmachen musste, weiß was sie will und was sie kann. Auch der vermeintlich Schwule Simon Asher, gespielt von Tate Ellington, ist ein vielschichtiger Charakter über den man als Zuschauer nur langsam etwas erfährt.
Mein Fazit zu Quantico
Ich persönlich freue mich jetzt schon die kommenden Folgen von Quantico zu schauen und weiter zu versuchen dahinter zu kommen, wer von den Charakteren denn jetzt der eigentliche Terrorist ist oder ob ich die Person zu Unrecht verdächtigt habe und sie auch nur ein Opfer des eigentlichen Terroristen ist.
