Wer sich an die E3 2016 erinnert, der erinnert sich doch dann bestimmt an den Moment, als das Crash Bandicoot Remastered angekündigt wurde. Die Fans standen auf und schrien, wie verrückt. Sie waren Fassungslos, dass die ersten drei Abenteuer von Crash, durch die N. Sane Trilogy, wiedererscheinen werden. Doch woher kommt diese Verehrung für diesen Beuteldachs? Und wie gut ist nun dieses Remastered Collection eigentlich?

Ihr wisst bestimmt, dass das hoch renommierte Studio Naughty Dog, Crash entwickelte und dass das Spiel im Jahre 1996 released wurde. Doch wisst ihr eigentlich, wie groß das Studio von Naughty Dog damals war? Beziehungsweise wie viele Entwickler an Crash gearbeitet haben? Schreibt uns eure Antworten!
Der Kindheitsheld
Ich musste mich tatsächlich selbst fragen, weshalb ich während der E3 aufgesprungen und ausgerastet bin. Doch ich fand rasch eine Antwort. Crash ist für viele Leute DER Kindheitsheld. Ich kann euch auch erklären warum. Ich war etwa vier Jahre alt, als ich meine erste Videospielkonsole bekam. Es war eine PlayStation 1 mit der gesamten Crash Bandicoot Trilogie inklusive. Somit verknüpfe ich meine ganze Kindheit mit diesem einen Moment, als ich Crash Bandicoot für die PlayStation einlegte und sie startete.
Und als die Titelmelodie von Crash erklang, verfiel ich einer Ekstase aus Faszination und Spaß. Dieser Moment ist es, den ich bis heute Crash Bandicoot verdanke. Natürlich haben die Spiele auch eine Menge Spaß gemacht, aber dies ist nur die halbe Wahrheit. Es ist auch die Grafik und Animation des Spiels, welche einen unglaublich Charmant waren. Beispielsweise konnte Crash Grimmassen schneiden oder ängstlich schauen, wenn er gerade von einer riesen Kugel verfolgt wird.
Egal ob Freund oder Feind, in der N. Sane Trilogy sind alle nun im 21. Jahrhundert angekommen.
Sprich, im Grunde gab es für mich, als PlayStation Kind nur einen einzigen Helden und der hörte auf den Namen Crash Bandicoot. Während die meisten einen italienischen Klempner verehrten, galt meine Verehrung einem australischen Beuteldachs.
Und dieser Beuteldachs geriet (leider) in Vergessenheit, als Sony die Rechte an Activision weiterverkaufte. Der letzte große Konsolenauftritt von Crash, war dann noch im Jahr 2008, als Crash: Herrscher der Mutanten rauskam, was allerdings kaum noch mit Crash zu tun hatte. Danach wurde der Arme zu Android Spielen degradiert und er wäre beinahe nur noch in Skylanders zu sehen gewesen. Deswegen wirkte es beinahe, wie ein Befreiungsschlag, als Crash dann auf der großen Bühne der E3 angekündigt wurde.
Die Collection
Aber wie ist nun die N. Sane Trilogy und lohnt sich der Kauf? Der größte Unterschied bei dieser Collection, wie sollte es auch anders sein, ist hierbei die Grafik. Das Spiel läuft zwar mit 1080p Full-HD Auflösung, aber leider nur mit 30 FPS. Allerdings stört dies nicht wirklich, denn das Spiel läuft Konstant mit 30 FPS und sieht einfach nur schick aus. Schaut euch einfach ein paar Bilder des Spiels an. Es sieht einfach fantastisch und unglaublich detailreich aus. Allein Crash hat so schönes Fell bekommen, dass man ihn einfach nur streicheln möchte. Es ist eine grafische Augenweide!
Was das Original auch ausmachte, war die fantastische Atmosphäre. Jedes Mal wenn man den ersten Teil spielte, kam ein tolles Dschungel Feeling auf. Oder man fühlte sich, wie im zweiten Teil, als wäre man wirklich im Weltall und der dritte hat gleich mehrere Sachen, die Atmosphärisch grandios waren. Aber auch die Musik trug zur tollen Atmosphäre bei. Diese wurden auch nur leicht für das 21. Jahrhundert überarbeitet. Aber klingen immer noch vertraut genug, um nostalgische Gefühle zu wecken.
Jedoch sucht man Neuerungen mit der Lupe. Es ist zu 99% dasselbe Spiel, wie vor 20 Jahren. Allerdings gibt es kleine Änderungen. Beispielsweise könnt ihr nun alle drei Spiele auch mit Coco durchzocken. Wie angesprochen hat sich die Musik ein kleinwenig verändert, klingt aber größtenteils, wie das Original. Die größte Änderung meiner Meinung nach sind die Todeswege. Denn sie sind es, die das Gameplay ein wenig verändert haben. Todeswege schaltet ihr dann frei, wenn ihr ein Level, ohne zu streben, bewältigt habt. Sollte dies der Fall sein, so könnt ihr den Todesweg wählen, um einen seltenen Edelstein zu ergattern.
Optisch ist Crash schöner, als je zuvor und man möchte ihn eigentlich nur knuddeln.
Ich muss aber sagen, trotz weniger Änderungen hat es mir riesigen Spaß gemacht, das Spiel wieder durchzuspielen. Es ist ein Nostalgieflash sondergleichen. Dieses Spiel sieht, spielt und fühlt sich genau an, wie früher! Auch der dezente Humor und die lustvollen Animationen sind wieder mit von der Partie. Es ist sogar genauso knackig, wie früher. Ich habe gehört, dass viele der Meinung sind, dass Crash schwieriger geworden ist. Das kann ich persönlich nicht bestätigen, denn Crash war schon immer ein schwieriges Spiel und im Vergleich zum Original bin ich der Meinung, dass das Remastered vielleicht knackiger, aber nicht schwieriger geworden ist.
Und das Beste kommt jetzt noch! Alle drei Spiele, also Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back und Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, bekommt ihr für nicht mal 40€!
Nicht alles Perfekt
Allerdings muss man zugeben, dass man für 40€ NUR die drei Spiele bekommt, ohne jegliche Extras. Es gibt keinerlei Bonus Content oder etwas dergleichen. Ich hätte mir vor allem gewünscht, dass man den Grafik Stil, wie bei Monkey Island, wechseln könnte. Also ein Wechsel von neuer Grafik zur alten und auch wieder zurück. Denn das gesamte Spielegerüst ist 1 zu 1 dasselbe, wie beim Original, also hätten sie dies mit der Grafik ruhig machen können. Oder vielleicht Audiokommentare der Entwickler oder gar der Originalen Naughty Dog Entwickler, stattdessen nix.
Auch die deutsche Synchronisation ist ein kleiner Schwachpunkt dieses Spiels, denn die deutsche Fassung ist zu keiner einzigen Minute lippensynchron. Zum Glück ist die Story in den Crash Bandicoot spielen, gar nicht mal so wichtig, weswegen man sie ruhig überspringen kann. Schade ist es trotzdem alle mal.
Selbst Crash weiß nicht genau, warum er zum 20. Geburtstag nicht mehr Content bekam.
Fazit
Mein Fazit fällt in diesem Fall relativ positiv aus. Preislich gesehen ist diese gesamte Collection ein MUSS für jeden, der sich als Crash Bandicoot Fan bezeichnet. Somit kann ich euch lieben Fans da draußen Sagen: „Greift ruhig zu. Diese 40€ sind gut angelegtes Geld.“. Aber eine Frage bleibt für mich persönlich offen. Was ist mit den jüngeren Leuten, die noch nie was von Crash Bandicoot gehört haben. Können die was mit diesem Spiel anfangen? Ich glaube nämlich dieses Oldschoolige Gerüst des Spiels ist nicht für jedermanns Kost. Allerdings meine ich 40€ sind immer noch zu verschmerzen, falls man doch nichts mit Crash Bandicoot anfangen kann. Also Greift ruhig zu Leute!
Denn wenn Crash erfolgreich sein sollte, könnten wir in Zukunft auch ein Spyro Remastered bekommen oder gar weiter Remastereds alter Klassiker.
